ABOUT US

Happy Days Stickers were co-founded in Darwin, Australia, by Gareth Roberts and Michelle O'Loughlan in honour of their great mate Kyle. Like too many others, Kyle lost his life to suicide after silently struggling with mental illness. His passing deeply affected those who knew him and inspired Gareth and Michelle to create something that could spark hope, connection, and conversation for others who might be suffering in silence.

The stickers were created by Gareth/@edward.art, and were first made available at his second solo art exhibition, ‘Happy Days’ in November 2015. The art exhibition was a tribute to Kyle who’s saying to life was ‘Happy Days’. The exhibition also raised money for mental health charity LIVIN.

It is estimated that around 25,000 stickers have been circulating since! The stickers act as conversation starters and have been given out at pubs, music festivals, and during travels. Often, people stop to share their own stories—because we all have one—relating to mental health or suicide. Friends and friends of friends have taken the stickers on their travels, spreading them across the world, including throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Since its conception Happy Days has raised money for LIVIN, MATES in Construction, TEMHCOFebFast and now Sabrina's Reach 4Life.
